The Singapore Maritime Port Authority (MPA) announced for immediate compliance, new holding areas to facilitate crew change.
Following a string of measures (see related news articles below) taken by the MPA since the beginning of this week to control the spread of COVID-19, the opening up of the above-mentioned new holding areas to enable crew change to be conducted safely is seen as another tightening measure.
